Supermarket Sweep
This term our class topic is Supermarket Sweep. So far we have looked at a wide range of food, where it is grown and where in the world it may travel from. We even learnt that the chicken eggs from the Murphy farm travel to Tesco! Thank you Sam for informing us of the process of how they get from farm to shop.
The class had great fun creating their own shopping list during our WAU lesson. We decided to take these with us as we travelled to our local supermarket on Monday morning. This was a great chance for the children to see a wide range of fresh produce and where is has travelled from.
As you can see the children had great fun working as a team. From scanning to packing and working out how to save pennies, we gathered a brilliant selection of items. After a busy morning spending money, we treated ourselves to some hot chocolate and a cream bun. A well deserved treat after all that hard work. Well done Primary 1 and 2.
